The Free Spirit Theatre Story

Free Spirit Theatre is an independent theatre company founded by Kitty Harper, focusing on original works from new and upcoming writers. Formerly known as Nomad Drama, the company was revamped and given a fresh start-over in the fall of 2018.

Back in 2013, Kitty pulled a production team together to perform her latest feature. Director Stephen Head proposed the name Nomad Drama due to the touring nature of their shows. But after five glorious years, the company finally landed a home at The Dovehouse Theatre in Solihull, and the Nomad gimmick was no longer applicable. With their main focus on original works, Free Spirit Theatre continues to open its doors to the play-writing community.
